documentation
This is my biggest request for 8.0. Documentation. Lots of it. Not just off the cuff stuff from the product marketing team, but hardcore, written by a technical writer, documentation.

It's not an uncommon problem. Having worked in SW development for years, I've been on teams that suddenly realized they had an awesome product, but their documentation or lack thereof was a key issue in adoption and retention. Enough said. Docs please.

RE: documentation
I second that motion...

I remember back at a previous job where I had to create a training program for our software. It was frustrating not having any documentation I could send with the sales reps I was training, and most of it was all in my head really at the time and only a few things here and there were written down. I swear it took about a year of my life (so it felt) but I got together with another employee with some technical writing experience and created a really in-depth manual. It was invaluable to me and the customers said it was a prized possession as it covered so many details that they didn't expect to find in a "user manual".

You can never have enough documentation.
