ink transitions
I would like it to be possible to carry light magenta and light cyan all the way to the 100% contrast range underneath the dark ink. RIght now they force the light ink to ramp down as the dark ink ramps up.

This is possible with 7.3.2 by using the OEM Dot Pattern in Media Manager.

Go to the Printer Capabilities configuration, click dot pattern and add 'OEM SepCtrl'. Go back to the main menu, start a new media/mode and select the OEM SepCtrl dot pattern for the new mode. Right from the drop down menu you will find a 'Configure' button. Click and start drawing your own curve for light cyan and magenta inks.

RE: ink transitions
Why would you want to use light inks all the way ( if you are not in the ink selling business ). under the dark inks?

Because on some printers the dark dot coverage is not enough. Especially low res printers with large drop sizes suffer from this sometimes. In that case the lights inks help you to fill the gaps between the large (dark) dots.

RE: ink transitions
I was thinking more of damage control. If we get a drop out or a dark magenta head is acting funny, the light coverage will mitigate it.
