okidata c9600 on ONP 7.3.0.57

Hello ,

I want to add my okidata c9600 in onyx. but there is a problem with my harware key. Does anyone know i there is a dongle upgrade possible ?

Each key has a list of "Supported Printers" and so that model is probably not on yours. I don't see it listed on mine either. However, If a driver exists for the printer then it can be added to your key, but that will come at a cost, and I couldn't tell you what that is. You will need to contact your dealer.

UPDATE: I was also told that it is a device supported by an OEM product and not part of the normal Onyx branded products, so you will most definitely need to talk to your dealer/sales in order to see if it's even possible to add it into a standard Onyx product.

my dealers said that it could be the driver? becdause our onyx key does support all printers.
can you confirm that the driver/profiles downloaded with profile download client are the latest one for okidata ?

What is the error message you are getting? And what is the problem with the key you are referring too?

Have you loaded the KeyViewer and verified that it lists the Okidata printer under supported printers?

There should be a shortcut called 'WinKey' or the direct path is:
C:\Onyx\KeyViewer\bin\KeyViewer.exe

I saw that it listed it there as well, which is why I asked Bryan about it and he said that it was a device for an OEM product and not a 'standard' one for Onyx branded. That's the only reason I mentioned that. I can't verify personally, so I'm trusting them (aka Onyx) to know...and how dare they ever be wrong!

LOL....we should remember the date....it never happens they're wrong ;-)

I think the confusion is because OKI has an OEM release (Oki only edition or so...) which doesn't have all the other printers.

we had to need to do an key update.

is it possible to print from roll ?
